ViewSonic ViewPad 7x Tablet (5)

With many new devices and gadgets being offered at the recently held Computex 2011 in Taiwan, it seems that the new tablets being offered have stood out on their own. It has become a battle between the new Android tablets, with the rapidly increasing market presence of those Windows tablets. As for the former, ViewSonic has introduced what is said to be the very first 7 inch tablet running on Android 3.0, the ViewPad 7x tablet. The ViewSonic ViewPad 7x is built on top the current ViewPad 7 tablets. But this time the ViewPad 7x tablets run on the Honeycomb or the Android 3.0 tablet OS. As introduced, the new ViewPad 7x tablet is powered by a Tegra 2 Dual Core CPU,a 7 inch 1024×600 touchscreen, a pair of cameras and HDMI output. This new ViewPad tablet also weighs just 380g. It is also said that the ViewPad 7x will come with HSPA+ support. It is currently up on Computex 2011 for exhibit. Viewsonic ViewPad 4 Up Close (2)

ViewSonic unveils its new tablet on CES, priding its 4.1-inch ViewPad 4 as a "tablet device with smartphone functionality." The Froyo-based device features an 800 x 480 resolution touch screen, 5-megapixel camera that can record 1080p video at the back, a front-facing camera, 2GB of ROM, and up to 1GB of RAM. The guys of Engadget gave the ViewSonic ViewPad 4 a hand-on treatment and were impressed with its responsiveness. ViewSonic Tablet Available at Amazon; It's More Expensive than Promised (1)

ViewSonic has finally made its ViewPad 7 tablet available on Amazon. However, it costs more than what the company has previously stated. The device, which was formerly known as the OlivePad, features Android 2.2 (aka Froyo), a 600MHz ARM CPU, a 7-inch touch screen with 800 x 480 resolution, front- and back-facing cameras, 3G for phone and data transmissions, and a full-sized SIM slot. Not only it can be used as a tablet computer, it also functions as a smartphone! When it was first announced, the company claimed that the price of the new ViewSonic ViewPad 7 would not exceed £350 (or US$543). ViewSonic has announced that its latest nettop, the VOT125 PC Mini, is now available for order. The VOT125 has a green-centric design, using 90 percent less plastic and consuming 90% less energy than ordinary tower PCs. This nettop features an Intel ULV processor, Windows 7, 2GB internal memory, 250GB hard drive, four USB 2.0 ports, DVI/ HDMI outputs, and Ethernet connections. It also includes a mount kit that can be attached to the back of an LCD monitor, thereby saving more space. The ViewSonic VOT125 Mini PC is available for only US$499.
