Apple Designer To Create Single-Edition Camera for Leica (1)

Apple's senior vice president of industrial design, Sir Jonathan Paul Ive, will be designing a limited-edition model of the recently-unveiled Leica M camera. The details remain sketchy as of this posting, whether the Ive-designed Leica M will completely deviate from its stock base model. The only thing that has been reported is that only one such camera will be made, making a lot of Leica and Apple fans salivating. The lone camera will be auctioned off, with all proceeds donated to a yet-unnamed charity organization. An upcoming Leica digicam has been leaked around the techie circles and now a photo that recently surfaced confirms its existence. The digicam is based on the Panasonic ZS-7 and bears the size of a compact pocket shooter. Despite its tiny size, it has HD video mode, GPS, and a 3-inch LCD. The Leica V-Lux 20 will hit dealers on April 20, retailing at 549 euros (about US$338), about 200 euros more than the ZS-7.
