Acer Chromebook R11 Convertible Notebook

With many portable devices now available for many people today, choosing the right one can sometimes be difficult. Choosing a laptop or notebook for example, is not that easy to do as before. Acer has recently expanded its tablet line by introducing new tablets, including the new Iconia Tab 8 W. Acer C270 Chromebook: As powerful as a laptop

Acer launches a Chromebook it claims to be better than your Chromebook. The 11.6-inch Acer C270 Chromebook packs a fourth-generation Intel Core i3 processor, the same one available in more powerful laptops. Ordinary Chromebooks used mobile processors such as those from Samsung or the Intel Atom line, making Acer the first company to unveil a Chromebook with a new line of "high-performance" chips. This enables the Acer C270 Chromebook to address the problem commonly encountered among similar computers: the lack of a multitasking ability. Users of the C270 need not worry about their Chromebook slowing down even with several browser tabs open. With the Haswell processor, this Chromebook can handle multiple tasks while providing a decent battery life--in this case, up to 8.5 hours. Also, booting up the laptop only takes seven seconds. Acer WQHD S7 ultrabook coming to US

Two years after unveiling the original Aspire S7 ultrabook, Acer is updating its critically-acclaimed machinewith a high-resolution display it sorely lacked. Coming to the United States is the Acer WQHD S7 laptops, featuring a Wide Quad High-Definition screen. Its display has 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution in a 16:9 aspect ratio, which is four times as many pixels as the 720p HD screen. The company has already churned out two models out of the latest Acer Aspire line-up, both packed with 256GB SSD and 8GB of RAM. The S7-392-6425 has an Intel i5-4200U processor and is priced at $1499, while the S7-392-9439 has an i7-4500U with a $1,799 price tag. Acer C720P Chromebook comes with touch screen

Acer has unveiled its first touchscreen-equipped Chromebook. The 11.6-inch Acer C720P features a HD display with 1266 x 768 resolution and multi-touch capability that allows uers to "swipe, tap, and pinch to zoom" in content. The gadget is similar to the Acer C720, except that the newer model has a touch screen. It runs on Intel Celeron 2955U processor and a 32GB SSD. Acer claims its boot time is impressive at less than seven seconds and can even recover from sleep mode just as fast. It also sports a 2GB DDR3 memory, the latest WiFi technology, and up to 7.5 hours of battery life. Other specs include ports for USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and HDMI, an HD webcam, and dual stereo speakers. The Acer C720P will be available in early December on Amazon, Best Buy, and Acer's online store for $299.99. Back in October, Acer launched its Haswell-based C720 Chromebook, but with an asking price of $250, consumers are hoping for a more cost-effective alternative. The PC company did just that, as it unveils the Acer C720-2848 with all the goodies you expect from the C720, but with a lower 2GB of RAM. The 11.6-inch notebook still has its 1.4GHz Intel Celeron processor, 16GB solid-state drive, and the much-bragged-about 8.5 hours of battery life. Acer Iconia W4: Second-gen small-screen Windows tablet

It is becoming clear that PC manufacturers are scrambling to become the dominant player in the tiny yet nascent Windows tablet market. Major players like Toshiba, Dell, and more recently, Lenovo, have put out their respective 8-inch slabs that run on Windows 8.1. Now it is Acer's turn to unveil its second-gen small-screen Windows tablet. The Acer Iconia W4 follows the footsteps of the Iconia W3. It sports a fourth-generation 1.8GHz Atom processor, an IPS display with 1280 x 800 resolution, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 2-megpaixel front-facing camera. The tablet has a micro-USB slot, a micro-HDMI port, and is available with your choice of either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, both are expandable with an additional 32GB using a microSD card. Much like many other new Windows tablets, the Iconia W4 comes pre-installed with a full copy of Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 edition. Acer will also offer a variety of accessories for its latest tablet, including a passive stylus and two types of cover. The Crunch Cover protects the gadget's display and also folds out into a tablet stand, while the Crunch Keyboard has the same capabilities, except that it comes with a Bluetooth keyboard that is chargeable through micro-USB.
