Is Apple Making an “iWatch”?

Every time we read a rumor about an upcoming Apple product, we should always take it with a grain of salt. I mean, whatever happened to that iPhone with “metallic glass” casing? Or the one with an edge-to-edge screen? Or the mini version of the iPhone?

This new iRumor also sounds like it was ripped from an Apple fanfiction, but with the likes of The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times reporting about it, how can we not turn our attention away?

Both publications reported, citing sources who are “familiar with the company’s explorations,” that Apple is working on an iWatch, which could bring a major shift in mobile computing.

The iWatch, according to reports, will be a “smartwatch” aimed at giving other wearable gadgets like the Nike Fuel Band or the Pebble a run for their coins. Unlike the two aforementioned devices, however, the iWatch will supposedly possess smartphone functions and that Apple has already (allegedly) discussed the smartwatch with its major manufacturing partner Foxconn.

The New York Times also reports that Apple is “experimenting with wristwatch-like devices made of curved glass” that would operate on iOS. Sounds Jetson-ish to us, but judging how these papers have been right about its Apple rumors (like the iPad mini), there may be some kind of truth to it.

And we hope that iWatch will be waterproof and will be equipped with a better Apple Map.
