When the people behind Instacube, an Android-powered digital photo frame that streams your Instagram photos, went to Kickstarter for funding, they did not expect their project to be funded so quickly. So much so that its modest $250,000 goal has exceeded to more than $450,000 with 13 days to go before deadline.

With all that excess money, the company has announced stretch goals for its Instacube, such as Facebook integration. This would make Instacube stream photos from your FB account as well as its just-acquired subsidiary Instagram. However, this goal would be added if its funding campaign hits $500,000, which likely would not take long.

Another stretch goal, this time already unlocked at $400,000 mark, is making Instacube available in black and white versions. The company has also announced a partnership with home automation system and fellow Kickstarter project SmartThings, which would enable the photo cube to display notifications for stuff like visitors arriving or leaving the house lights on.
