Just when you thought the 5.3-inch Samsung Galaxy Note is too big for your hand, reports from South Korea claim that the second-gen version of this gadget will get some added girth.

Korea-based MK Business News reports that Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will come at an even larger 5.5-inch display, citing information gather from its usual unnamed sources. The new Galaxy Note will reportedly be unveiled at the IFA 2012 trade show this August in Germany.

Of course, it is not just the display that will be upgraded. The Samsung Galaxy Note is rumored to come with an unspecified quad-core processor, as well as a 12- or 13-megapixel camera at the back instead of the 8-megapixel shooter in its predecessor. The new tablet-smartphone hybrid will supposedly run on Android Jelly Bean.

I'm presently using the Galaxy Note. I love its large screen: big, but still small enough to fit into my pants pocket. Note II's bigger screen might pose a problem for users like me, & we can only keep our fingers crossed that its front asset will not increase with each successive model.
