Notebooks today are getting even lighter and lighter. And with the entry of the ultrabooks, they become lighter as well as slimmer. While some may think that going this route will make them more fragile, there are many models that are also designed to be quite rugged for daily use. One of the recent introductions in the laptop market is the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon is an upgrade from the previous ThinkPad X1model. But this time the X1 Carbon laptop comes with a carbon fiber body to get that advantage in strength and durability and yet stay light. The X1 Carbon only weighs less than 3 pounds. This 14-inch ultrabook also comes with embedded 3G connectivity and a display that can recline for up to 180 degrees. It also comes with a Rapid Charge feature that allows this ultrabook to reach 80 percent battery capacity with just 35 minutes of charging. The new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon is expected to arrive sometime in summer of this year. No pricing details have yet been provided.
