The SpareOne Emergency Mobile Phone is an ideal backup to have to always have that means to communicate even when your main cell phone fails with empty batteries. This emergency mobile phone is developed by XPAL Power, the makers of the popular Energizer battery. What makes the SpareOne unique is that it is considered as the world’s first cell phone that’s powered by a single AA battery.

The SpareOne is a dual band GSM mobile phone, that’s not only capable of making calls but also transmit its location along with its call ID. What makes it a reliable emergency phone is that it is capable of up to 10 hours talktime on a single AA battery. It can even hold or maintain its charge for up to 15 years if left unused. The SpareOne Emergency Mobile Phone comes with its own microSIM in the bundle at an expected retail price of US$50. It is expected to ship out sometime in March.
