What? LG still flashes new Android 2.3 smartphones? You betcha!

But if you prefer the latest Android OS for your phone, this one could be it. The LG Optimus 4X HD will be the first Android smartphone to come with a 1.5GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor. It also comes armed with a slightly customized version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich, a 4.7-inch True HD IPS LCD with 1280 x 720 resolution, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, dual cameras, and a 2,150mAh battery. Do not be turned off by its size, as its thickness remains respectable at 8.9mm.

The Optimus 4X HD will formally be unveiled on the 27th Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The gadget is expected to be available in Europe in the second quarter of 2012.
