Samsung Announces First Tablet with Android 4.0

Samsung thinks smaller tablets are the way to go to succeed in the US market, so it is no surprise it unveils the 7-inch Galaxy Tab 2, its first tablet powered with Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

Apart from the new OS, nothing much new can be seen with this new tablet. It still sports the same PLS display and 4,000mAh battery like the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, as well as the 3-megapixel back camera and VGA front-faced shooter. What is even more dismaying is the apparent downgrade with its 1GHz dual-core processor, compared to the 1.2GHz of the 7.0 Plus.

Nevertheless, if the Android 4.0 pleases you, we guess this device will be worth the wait once it debuts next month (in United Kingdom).
