The recently concluded 2012 CES has its own share if interesting gadgets and devices from some of the exhibitors. Not all of them may be that of the innovative and revolutionary type. Some were just an improvement of existing devices that needed a new take in terms of design and features. One of those introduced in CES 2012 is this hinged Portable WiFi Pico Projector from Oregon Scientific.

This unique Oregon Scientific Portable Pico Projector is an actual DLP pico projector that can project FWVGA 854 x 480 resolutions at 1,000:1 contrast and at 80 lumens of brightness. It is capable of projecting a 120-inch wide picture on a flat surface in total darkness at 3.2 meters away. It is also hinged to give the projector a means to be adjusted at a 90-degree range. It also features WiFi support, a 3.5 mm audio jack and a focus slide. The Oregon Scientific Portable WiFi Pico Projector pictured is a working prototype of the actual device. But Oregon Scientific stated that this device may be available sometime in the second half of this year. Its expected price will be around US$640.
