Hate leaving your pet cat at home while you are out at work? Want an inexpensive way to monitor your cat’s activities, even if it means having to assemble it yourself? MakeProjects.com introduces an Arduino-based craft that enables your feline pet to “tweet.”

The Kitty Twitty is a wooden cat toy that sends a new tweet each time your cat plays with it. The device consists of a switchboard inside a little painted wooden box topped by a paper bird attached to a guitar string. The project’s sensors detects activity as your cat plays with the paper bird.

The project can also be applied on the food bowl or the kitty bed, as well on dog toys. You can read the full instructions at MakeProjects.com.
