Selling a smartphone that is designed specifically for women may be a hard sell in the United States, but it is a different case in Japan. Fujitsu unveils its Arrows Kiss F-03D smartphone, which comes with apps specifically designed for the ladies.

For instance, the Beauty Body Clinic monitors the user’s posture and even commands her to stand up straighter. The “Sukkiri” Alarm (“refreshed” in English) uses the accelerometer and microphone to monitor her body movements, breathing patterns, and wakefulness before waking her up when sleep is detected at its lightest point. The Karada Life app uses the phone’s pedometer and activity monitoring system as it provides health-maintenance advise, probably telling you lay off the extra fried chicken.

On the specs front, this smartphone features a single-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor, 3.7-inch WVGA display with 800 x 480 resolution, and an 8.1-megapixel rear-facing camera. It can also support OneSeg TV broadcasts, mobile wallet payments, and the Okudake-Juden wireless charging system.

The Fujitsu Arrows Kiss F-03D will be available in NTT DoCoMo beginning November 25 for a yet-to-be-announced price.
