It seems that smartphone makers are trying to earn the distinction of having the slimmest smartphone in the world. The Motorola Droid RAZR smartphone has the current title of being the slimmest to date in the market with a body that is just 7.1mm thin. But that may be about to change with the arrival of the Fujitsu Arrows F-07D smartphone.

The new Fujitsu Arrows F-07D just got the nod from the FCC as currently the world’s slimmest smartphone. It has a slim profile that measures only a 6.7mm thin. Its features include a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Android Gingerbread OS, a 4 inch Gorilla glass WVGA display, 512MB RAM, 1GB internal storage, 5MP camera and GSM, HSPA and LTE support. It is expected to be available at NTT DoCoMo in Japan in 2012. No pricing details have been provided as of yet.
