Sprint Offers Budget-Friendly Express Smartphone

Sprint announces its latest smartphone that costs just $20. The Sprint Express is actually a reworked Huawei Boulder phone, targeting consumers who prefer low-end smartphones.

The Express features a portrait QWERTY keypad, Android 2.3, a 2.6-inch QVGA display with 320 x 240 resolution, a 3.2-megapixel camera, 256MB of RAM, 512MB of internal storage with expandable microSD slot, 1,500mAh battery, a 3G mobile hotspot that can support up to five devices, and access to Sprint ID.

This latest Sprint handset comes with a two-year contract and a $50 mail-in rebate. It also requires activation on one of Sprint Everything Data plans plus a required $10-a-month Premium Data add-on charge. Meanwhile the mobile hotspot option is available for an additional $29.99 monthly fee. The Express from Sprint is now available via Sprint Telesales (1-800-SPRINT1), Sprint.com, and on any Sprint retail store.
