Gogo Launches Live Trials With Air China

Gogo, a company that provides in-flight entertainment solutions, has forged an agreement with Air China to provide a trial of its services. The first live trial on a commercial flight was done on November 15 flight from Beijing to Chengdu on a Boeing 737. More trials are expected to continue through the first quarter of 2012.

Gogo offers a lightweight, wireless in-flight entertainment system that can be installed on an aircraft overnight. Passengers with laptops and other WiFi-enabled devices can get online on all Gogo-connected transport systems, which currently includes domestic flights of Virgina America and Alaska Airlines, all domestic mainline Delta flights, and on select flights of Air Canada, American Airlines, United Airlines, and US Airways.
