Google Music Now Out of Beta

In a bid to become a dominating force in the online universe, Google has announced that its Google Music is no longer in beta stage as is now open to users in the United States. Google Music features a complete suite of music services, including a Music Store, which resulted after Google is able to secure partnerships with major record labels.

The service is Google’s attempt to compete with iTunes and Amazon in music store and cloud storage. Like its rivals, Google Music allows users to purchase music and upload them (as well as other files) to the cloud.

Google Music Store is now available in the web-based Android Market, while it will hit the Market app in the coming days. The software requires Android 2.2 or higher.
