Crayola Trace & Draw: For iPad-Addicted Children

Posted on October 21, 2011
Category:

Kids nowadays find tablets fascinating, although in a disturbing way. Remember the viral video about a baby trying to “swipe” the images of a print magazine, thinking it would work just like the iPad? Apparently, some companies would encourage children to get dangerously close to tablet computers instead of letting them play with toys the way children are supposed to do.

Griffin Technology introduces the Crayola Trace & Draw, a shatter-proof iPad 2 case and comes with a free app that allows children to put a sheet of paper over the tablet and trace out images and animations. The package comes with a marker and “50 sheets of pre-sized tracing paper,” just in case you would rather not look for cheaper tracing paper in your local stationery.

The Crayola Trace & Draw costs $39.99 each.
