Home sound systems come in all shapes and sizes because people may have quite varies tastes and preferences regarding good audio quality. While there are good speakers to be found in the low and mid range levels if one just knows what and where to look for, there is also a market for high end ones, especially for those who are quite discriminating when it comes to sound, not to mention that they have some cash to burn along the way. For the high end market, there are makers like Gobel that specializes in such type of speakers. One of their recent introductions is the new Gobel Epoch Reference.

The Gobel Epoch Reference is a high end speaker system that astounds not only in terms of its sound quality but also in its looks. Uniquely designed, this speaker system features the patented Gobel bending wave driver technology at its very heart. This speaker also comes with 12, custom built 6.5 inch long throw woofers in an impulse compensating array design.

Not only that, the Gobel Epoch Reference is not only heavy in sound, it is also literally a heavy set of speakers, weighing at 190 kilograms. The Gobel Epoch Reference High End Speakers are currently making the rounds in Europe, most especially in Germany, to give interested parties a sample of its sound. But one thing is certain; this monster of a speaker will cost more than an arm and a leg. But boy, how it would look good in a home theater setup. After all, it doesn’t cost anything to dream.
