Garmin has been a company known for their GPS devices. They have since branched out to create other devices but those that still require some GPS integration. One example is their series of fitness devices, of which a recent addition is the Garmin Forerunner 910XT GPS Watch.

The Garmin Forerunner 910XT is a watch designed for those who are into fitness. More than just telling the time, it provides its wearers with the means to keep track and monitor fitness data such as moving pace, distance, heart rate and power as well as barometric altimeter and elevation data. While other previous Garmin Forerunner watches also have these features, the 910XT comes with new features designed for use in the water.

The Garmin Forerunner 910XT now has features that allow users to keep track of their swim metrics. This waterproof watch can now record data such as stroke count, stroke rate as well as stroke identification. This makes it quite ideal for use especially for tri-athletes. It is for this very reason why the release of the Garmin Forerunner 910XT GPS Watch is timed for the start of the Triathlon World Championship to be held in Kona, HI this month. It is expected to cost around US$400.
