Posted on September 28, 2011

With tablets now getting some much needed attention and interest coming from consumers, more and more of such devices are now slowly trying to gain entry into the market. So far, the market is dominated by the iPad and a bunch of Android tablets in the mix. One of the new players will be offering a Windows 7 tablet via the new Skytex Skytab S-series of tablet PC’s.

Skytec Technologies has partnered with EXOPC to come up with the new Skytex Skytab S-series Tablet PC. It features EXOPC’s touch friendly EXO UI, an interesting addition to combine with its Windows 7 OS. The Skytab S-series Tablet runs on a dual core Intel Atom N550 processor with Intel integrated graphics, 2GB DDR3 RAM and a 9.7 inch capacitive multi-touch display. It also comes with a 1.3MP web cam as provides WiFi connectivity. The Skytec Skytab Tablet is expected to come out sometime in October. No information yet on how much it will cost.
