BlackBerry Torch 9850 Coming to Verizon Tomorrow

Verizon will be offering its latest touchscreen BlackBerry handset within this week! The BlackBerry Touch 9850 will be available in Verizon Wireless’ online store on September 8, while it will hit retails stores on the 15th.

The smartphone features a 1.2GHz processor, a 3.7-inch touchscreen, BlackBerry 7 OS, a “Global Ready” quad-band mobile radio, a 5-megapixel camera with flash, 720p HD video recording capabilities, pre-installed 16GB microSD card (expandable to 32GB), GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth. It also has high-performing Liquid Graphics technology, the latest BlackBerry Mesenger, and next-gen BlackBerry browser with optimizing zooming, panning, and HTML 5 powers.

Verizon will be selling the Touch 9850 at $200 with two-year contract. That is $50 more than what Sprint is offering, but $50 less than Verizon’s own BlackBerry Bold 9930. Either way, the price differences would not matter because the phone caters to people who remain loyal to BlackBerry.
