After several weeks of delays, reasons of which remain a mystery, AT&T has finally released the much-awaited LG Thrill 4G smartphone. The device, renamed as AT&T Optimus 3D, features a 1GHz dual-core Texas Instruments OMAP 4 CPU, 512MB of RAM, Android Froyo, 4.3-inch glasses-free 3D touch screen with 800 x 480 display, 1080p video capture, 8GB built-in storate, 8GB microSD card (expandable to 32 gigs), and dual 5-megapixel rear-facing stereoscopic cameras with auto-focus for that 3D effect when taking photos.

Remember that LG Thrill 4G was unveiled last March at the CTIA Wireless 2011 event. The smartphone was supposed to be released weeks after, but weeks turned into months until finally AT&T tweeted last August about the phone’s imminent arrivel.

Interested buyers can avail the LG Thrill 4G for just $100 with two-year contract with AT&T, or go uncommitted for $450.
