Super Talent comes up with a flash drive that could trump the competition. The USB 3.0 Express RC8 looks like an innocent flash drive, but it actually works like a solid-state drive (SSD) as it can read up to 270MBps and writes up to 240MBps under optimal conditions. The performance of this gadget is way higher than any flash drives on the martket.

The Super Talent USB 3.0 Express RC8 features a first-gen SandForce SSD controller, an 8-channel of NAND memory, and virtual chaching system. Like a SSD, the device can read and write to multiple flash channels simultaneously, enabling the user to perform multiple tasks at the same time. The drive also works with USB 2.0 ports at 2.0 speeds. It is enclosed in an aluminum case that measures 1 x 4 x 0.3 inches.

Pricing is not yet definitive, but it was reported at Computex that a 50GB version would cost $110, while the 25GB and 100GB capacities will also be available.
