Samsung Series 5 Chromebook

Google has recently talked about having a laptop or notebook that runs on the new Google Chrome OS. This had many people take notice and added a bit of excitement in the air, the interest of which probably stemming from how such a notebook will fare out among the competition. To start it all off, Google has one of its partners, Samsung, to develop one of the first Chrome OS notebooks in the new Samsung Series 5 Chromebook.

The Samsung Series 5 Chromebook will feature a 12.1 inch display, a 1.66 GHz Dual Core Intel Atom N570 processor, 2GB RAM ans a 16GB mSATA SSD. It is said to have a booting time of 10 seconds and weighs only 3.3 lbs. The Samsung Series 5 Chromebook will also have an HD webcam, 2 USB ports and a mini VGA port. The Samsung Series 5 Chromebook is expected to be made available in the market by June 15. Prices are expected to be US$429 for the WiFi only model and US$499 for the 3G Chromebook model.
