Several users of the recently-launched Nintendo 3DS are beginning to report the difficulty of even launching the handheld gaming device. According to them, the 3DS would randomly crash and fades into a black screen as seen in the picture. The instructions on the screen recommend a hard reset to solve the problem, albeit temporarily. Some users even suggest to reformat the SD card to FAT32.

The issue, however, has only affected a handful of users and was initially reported on games like Monkey Ball and Street Fighter. Hopefully there would be an update to fix the problem.

If your Nintendo 3DS continues to crash, you may want to return it to where you have purchased it for a replacement, if it is possible.
