Nikon Coolpix S6100 Revealed

Nikon has just unveiled a line of new digital cameras, one of which is the Nikon Coolpix S6100, an update to last year’s S6000 model.

This camera features a 1/2.3-inch CCD image sensor, increasing its resolution from 14.2 to 16.0 megapixels; Nikkor-branded 7x optical zoom lens; 3-centimeter macro mode; a 3.0-inch TFT LCD panel with anti-reflective coating and 5-level brightness adjustment; 720p video recording; an ISO range from 80 to 3,200 on manual control; 20MB of internal memory, which can expand via SDHC and SDXC-compatible slot; USB 2.0; and a battery life of up to 210 shots.

The Nikon Coolpix S6100 will begin retail on March 2011, priced at around US$200 ($50 cheaper than its predecessor).
