Bing Gives Away Free Songs, But There is a Catch

Because Bing is so nice, plus the fact it wants to create publicity noise, the Microsoft-owned search engine is giving away 500,000 songs for free. All you have to do is to add your e-mail address on the little box right at this link. Apparently, you will receive a link on your e-mail where to redeem your free song. What is interesting, though, is that the songs are not from Microsoft’s Zune service but from Amazon.

What songs are included? We do not know. We haven’t tried it yet. Why you ask? You see, Bing wants your e-mail address so you receive their newsletter. And with the clutter we are having in our inbox, another newsletter is the least thing we want But hey, if a free song is what it takes for you to volunteer as a target of Bing’s constant press releases, then go ahead.
