Want a free iPad? Come to Japan and sign a two-year contract with SoftBank, the tablet’s exclusive provider in the Land of the Rising Sun, so you could get yourself a 16GB iPad (the one with WiFi and 3G) absolutely free.

The two-year plan requires users to pay an equivalent of US$56 every month for a 3G data flat fee. If you want to have the 32GB or 64GB editions, you have to pay $5 or $10 more per month, respectively. Users can enjoy free usage of all SoftBank WiFi spots in Japan, which has been bundled in the package.

This free iPad promo by SoftBank begins this Friday and runs until February 28, 2011.
