Don’t count out mobile hotspots just yet despite the introduction of handsets with integrated mobile WiFi such as HTC EVO 4G. Sprint’s subsidiary Virgin Mobile is reviving Novatel’s MiFi technology by making it available on prepaid.

For only US$149, you can grab your own MiFi device free of contract and simply pay for data rates ranging from $10 for 100MB to $60 for 5GB. The prepaid MiFi from Virgin Mobile is said to be launched next week online, as well as in Best Buy and Radio Shack.
