Samsung Acclaim Hits US Cellular

Posted on June 22, 2010

U.S. Cellular, currently the sixth largest wireless network in the United States, is proud to announce that they will be officially releasing Samsung’s Acclaim handset beginning July 9. Of course, this news is something the company should celebrate about, since they have exclusive carrier rights to the most mundane of Android sliders. In fact, it is U.S. Cellular’s first Android phone.

And to show their appreciation to their loyal customers, they gave away ten free Acclaim phones during their raffle over the weekend.

Details about the phone are still sketchy, though, as we are still grasping for actual specs or even its Android version. Rumors, however, have been floating that this Samsung Acclaim has a 3.2-inch HVGA screen and the usual specs found in the Eclair. We will keep you posted.
