Another one of those “alternatives to iPad” is now being launched. The Dell Streak, formerly known as Mini 5, is Dell’s take on the smartphone and tablet industries altogether. It features a 5-inch handset (bigger than an iPhone, smaller than an iPad) that runs on Android 1.6, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with auto-focu, 2GB of built-in internal memory (expandable to 32GB thanks to the MicroSD card), and a customized UI.

Like any well-meaning tablet, the Dell Streak also has built-in WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G connectivity, web-browsing functions, social media apps, and GPS. However, Adobe enthusiasts may have to wait until Android 2.2 becomes available before this gadget gets updated with Flash support.

The fellows in the United Kingdom will get the first taste of the Dell Streak as it hits O2 stores beginning early June 2010, while fans in the U.S. will have to wait until late summer to grab a piece of the Streak.  Price is yet to be revealed.
