Time Warner Cable introduces its WiFi service to residents of several areas in New York City in what looks like an attempt to duplicate the “Internet for all ” program in some countries in Europe.  The free service benefits over one million Road Runner Cable and Cablevision residential customers living in Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, Brooklyn, Mount Vernon, parts of Hudson Valley region, Long Island, and the Bronx.

It also covers much-visited areas in the NYC likes Bryant and Central Parks, as well as some Long Island Railroad platforms and their respective parking lots.  Also, residents from parts of New Jersey and Connecticut can also experience free WiFi.

To register, simply visit the Time Warner Cable WiFi website .
