Fring Allows One-Way Video Calls on the iPhone

Firng brought VoIP calls to the iPhone. And now, it is poised to bring video calls to ultra popular handset – sort off.

We all know this app can’t do anything about the camera placement -n the iPhone. However, the latest version of Fring allows iPhone and iPod touch users to at least see the person on the other end of the line.

According to Fring, it will add two-way video calling capability to your mobile when "a front camera is placed on them."

You will also be able to make video calls to Skype users, similar to what they created for Nokia devices, but you have to make sure you are within the vicinity of a WiFi hotspot since it does not support 3G.
