SanDisk Sansa Clip+ MP3 Player

Known as a manufacturer of flash memory cards, SanDisk introduces the Sansa Clip+ MP3 player, which is equipped with a microSD memory card slot so users can listen to thousands of additional songs.  They can also slide in SanDisk’s slotRadio and slotMusic cards, which contains premium songs and handcrafted playlists.

The Sansa Clip+ MP3 player is made for people who want to carry their favorite music anywhere with them, yet are concerned about the high costs of other portable media players.  It features a 1-inch OLED screen with a simple user interface, a FM tuner with 40 presets, an equalizer mode, a rechargeable lithium ion battery with up to 15 hours of battery life, and a wearable clip for hands-free portability.  The Sansa Clip+ also has a built-in microphone so you can record almost anything while on the go, from what to buy in the grocery store, lyrics to a song you are writing, or thoughts for an upcoming blog entry.

The Sansa Clip+ also provides support for many music download services like Rhapsody, Napster, and eMusic.  It also works seamlessly with a wide range of music formats like MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC, OGG, and e-book audible files, all in both unprotected and protected files.  This is the first MP3 player to be certified compatible with Windows 7, providing smooth transition to the forthcoming operating system.

The Sansa Clip+ MP3 player is available online on sandisk.com and bestbuy.com, and will become available in Canada and Europe in the holiday season.  The cost ranges between US$39.99 and US$69.99, depending on the memory capacity.  Users can choose between red, blue, and black.
