Nokia Booket 3G Mini-Laptop

Nokia, known for its mobile phones, shocked the tech world by announcing its very first laptop, or what they call a mini-laptop.  The Nokia Booklet 3G, which will be introduced to the public for the first time on September, will be a Windows-based portable PC with the support of an efficient Intel Atom processor, a battery life that lasts for up to 12 hours, and a 10.1-inch HD display all encased in an aluminum shell.

Technically, we could call it a netbook, but its high-definition display, 3G wireless connectivity, and support for hot-swappable SIM card makes Nokia Booklet 3G a product that deserves its own category.  The mini-laptop weighs in at about a kilogram and is measured at around 2 centimeters thick.

Because of its 3G/ HSPA connectivity, expect the Nokia Booklet 3G to provide fast downloading of your favorite digital media and also quick uploading your most precious digital videos onto the Net.  This mini-laptop also has WiFi support, onboard-assisted GPS with Ovi Maps, an integrated web camera, Bluetooth, and a built-in SD card reader.

More details about its cost and availability come Nokia World 09 on September 2.
