Nokia Surge on AT&T

AT&T has announced that it will exclusively carry the supercharged, super smartphone from Nokia:  the Symbian S60-powered Nokia Surge.  This amazing unit is set to become available online and in AT&T stores on July 19, costing at $79.99 after rebates.

The Nokia Surge is ideal for on-the-go consumers who love to stay connected with their friends and loved ones through IM, SMS, or e-mail.  This unit features a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard set in a slim and stylish design, as well as the multi-tasking capabilities of Symbian S60 OS.

Aside from its impressive messaging capabilities, the Nokia Surge offers a powerful browsing ability, which includes Flash support so you could be able to view most sites in full HTML and even watch YouTube videos.  Users can even post messages, images, videos, and comments on their favorite social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace with its built-in JuiceCaster application.

Nokia Surge also offers a wide array of multimedia and entertainment features.  Its 2.0-megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, for instance, enables you to capture high-quality photos on unforgettable moments.  The built-in AT&T Navigator gives you audible GPS information, from turn-by-turn directions to traffic monitors.  AT&T Mobile Music lets you listen and download your favorite music from a variety of mobile music websites from Napster Mobile, eMusic Mobile, XM Radio, and a whole lot more.  The AT&T Video Share, meanwhile, allows you to share video streaming over wireless devices while participating in a voice call-a first in the United States.

Nokia Surge will be available in select AT&T retail locations and at its online store, coming to you with a two-year service agreement and a mail-in rebate.
