Lenovo ThinkPad T400

Many techies prefer using netbooks not only because it is less expensive, but it is also lighter and smaller in size.  However, that does not mean it is the end of the better-performing laptops.

Lenovo attempts to bring back the netbookies into the Church of Laptop by incorporating the best of their ThinkPad series with a thinner body much like a netbook.  The Lenovo ThinkPad T400 has a 14.1-inch LED screen at a 0.83-inch thin body with a starting weight of less than four pounds.

The ThinkPad T400 has almost everything you find in a Lenovo laptop: a 2.53GHz Core 2 Duo processor, a multitouch trackpad, 34mm ExpressCard slot, a DVD burner or Blu-ray player, as well as options of having a 128GB solid state drive storage or 250GB hard drive storage.  Its keyboard also bears the ThinkPad standard, with larger Delete and Escape keys as well as closer spaces in between keys to avoid crumbs from falling below the keyboard.

So if you changed your mind about buying a netbook in favor of a $1500-yet thinner and lighter-laptop, the Lenovo ThinkPad T400 comes first to mind.
