The world is more than ready for consumer-class 8MP camera phones. Samsung now has the Memoir (model number SGH-t929), an updated version of the popular Samsung Behold. On one side, the Memoir comes with a full touch screen feature and on the other is an 8MP camera that has Xenon Flash and a 16x digital zoom. This phone, released just a few days ago, runs on T-Mobile’s 3G network.

The distinguishing feature of the new Samsung Memoir makes critics wonder if it is a real camera more than a phone. Well, the phone was designed to look like a camera. The full touch screen features a QWERTY keypad, a video and music video player, Bluetooth technology, and built in GPS navigation. It is more than just a pretty good camera phone. With a candy bar-like design, the camera phone also features five shooting modes, allowing you to shoot excellent videos and photos from your phone.

The Memoir is powered by Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface and T-Mobile’s 3G network, which makes it possible for you to share images in real time. The phone has multiple messaging capabilities, such as multimedia messaging, text, email, and instant messaging. It also features voice activated dialing and speakerphone. The Samsung Memoir is available for a reasonable price of $249.99 with a 2-year contract.
