Nokia 5630 XpressMusic

Mobile phones that are incorporated with great music make listening even more pleasurable.  You can simply stroll along the street while listening to your favorite tunes without any other additional gadgets like portable CD players or Walkmans.  Nokia has its versions of a music-centric cellphone call XpressMusic, and the company recently released its latest edition:  The Nokia 5630 XpressMusic handset.

Consider it as a little sister of 5800 XpressMusic.  However, the Nokia 5630 has different perspective compared to big brands.  This slender smartphone has a deluge of other features from N-Gage for a more portable gaming experience, not to mention its crazy thinness of just 12mm.

As a music player, Nokia 5630 XpressMusic can store up to 3,000 songs into its 4GB microSD.  You can even browse your favorite music in an instant by simply telling the phone the name of an artist to automatically play it with its "Say and Play" feature.  It also comes with a 3.5mm headphone connector, Bluetooth connectivity, FM stereo and Internet radio.

But what makes this model unique to its fellow XpressMusic counterparts is that Nokia 5630 comes with a full-blown S60 device with fast HSDPA connectivity.  In other words, you can load applications and be able to exploit a lot of the online services provided to mobile phones from widgets, Ovi Share, and Nokia Messaging.  It is also packed with HSUPA connectivity, which makes uploading data a breeze with speeds of up to 2mbps.  Now, you can make and share videos or photos at a much faster pace and in a more engaging option.

Meanwhile, the home screen features a Contacts Bar that is smartly animated and lets you scroll through icons for up to 20 contacts.  You can also interact with your contacts directly from the home screen.  The Nokia 5630 also comes with a 3.2-megapixel still and video camera with dual-LED flash and 4x zoom.  You can even upload the photos and share it online through Flickr and Share on Ovi.

The Nokia 5630 will first come into Europe in the second quarter of 2009 for at least €200 pre-tax and pre-subsidy.
