Sony Ericsson unveiled C510 Cyber-shot, one of its latest mid-range phones, at the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show. It features support for AT&T’s high-speed 3G network and all the features from the Cyber-shot phone family. It comes with a 3.2 MP auto focus camera and features smile shutter. This new feature makes the camera snap photos automatically when it detects a subject flashing those pearly whites.

Many tech people who sampled the Sony Ericsson found the phone not too bad, not too good, just average. Although the design lacks inspiration, it is definitely clean and has a Cyber-shot touch to it. The icon-based interface is somewhat more polished compared to the basic carrier-driven UI. Dubbed as Sony Ericsson’s most affordable Cyber-shot mobile phone ever, the C510 Cyber-shot will make camera phone experience more accessible to markets and consumers worldwide.

Sony Ericsson announced that the C510 Cyber-shot will be available in several markets in the first quarter of this year in Radiation Silver and Future Black colors. The phone has not been officially announced for the US market. Sony Ericsson maintains its silence about the price. If it gets the price right, then the C510 Cyber-shot phone could end up doing pretty good.
