It’s official. The once separate Sirius and XM universes have finally merged. Sirius XM rolled out the MiRGE, the world’s first interoperable satellite radio that lets you effortlessly and easily switch between Sirius and XM signals. It also displays 3 other channels at once while you’re viewing your current channel. What’s more, this radio allows you to rewind and pause up to an hour of live programming.

Other features include on-screen sports/stock updates and TuneSelect. You can also bookmark your 10 favorite channels for quick access. Included in the package is an interoperable vehicle antenna, cassette adapter, vehicle power adapter, vehicle dock, aux in cable, remote control, vent and adhesive mount. The MiRGE weighs 4.7 ounces and measures 4.5-in x 2.5-in x .78-in.

The MiRGE will be available in this spring with a suggested retail price of $249.99. In addition, Sirius XM also announced at the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show the "Sirius Everything plus XM Everything" subscription package to go with the MiRGE. This will cost you $19.99 per month. It’s basically like you’re subscribing to both services at a discount. Definitely not a bad choice for dual subs.
