Samsung MBP-200 Pico Projector

Good news to all those in the corporate jungle who are out looking for the next best thing in work-related gadgets that can do a gazillion of functions! Samsung will be releasing its sequel to the MBP-100 they released last year.

The MBP-200 Pico projector is equipped with a Texas Instruments DLP Pico chip which enables it to project images of up to 50 inches with a 480 x 320 resolution. It also claims to be equipped with the same technology featured in DLP HDTVs.

It has a 2.2 inch QVGA LCD screen where you can view the contents before your project them. Now isn’t that really cool? You can now get to do previews right before that important business meeting to make sure you get your presentation right.

And not only that: Samsung MBP-200 also allows you to browse pictures, PowerPoint presentations and listen to music. The way we see it, this cool gizmo redefines power meetings and other corporate activities.

Samsung MBP-200 Pico Projector supports the following formats: JPEG, GIF, MBP, MP3, WMA, OGG, AAC, WAV, DivX, Xvid, WMV9 Simple Profile, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, PDF, PowerPoint .ppt, MS Word .doc, and MS Excel .xls.

It’s dimensions are 107.3 x 48.8 x 19 mm and weighs 160g.

At this point it’s too early to say how this new product will affect the market. That’s because the MBP-200 Pico Projector will be available later this year, and there is no word yet regarding pricing.
