More and more people prefer goods manufactured using environment friendly processes. Aware of the environmental problems we are currently dealing, HP has just released a notebook that comes with a cool (green) bag entirely made from recycled materials.

The sustainable packaging bundle will be sold exclusively through American retailer WalMart. The bundle consists of HP’s DV6929WM-B 15.4-inch laptop, based on a 250GB 5,400rpm SATA hard-drive, a 4GB of RAM, and a 2GHz AMD Turion X2 TL-60 Dual-Core Mobile CPU.

Instead of shipping the laptops in cardboard boxes, HP will send the devices inside the bags to the customers. If you care for the environment, then you would be happy to know that the cardboard outer packaging is recycled, as is the plastic wrap around the laptop bag. In addition, it has an updated labeling, indicating where the company sourced the different materials and also what can you do with them instead of disposing them in the garbage.

In addition to the typical recovery discs and manuals, the bundle includes a note that covers recycling the old PC that is replaced by the DV6929WM-B. Overall, it reduces 97% of packaging waste. HP’s DV6929WM-B environmental friendly bundle is expected to be in-stores in September or October of 2008. Price is to be announced.
